There are plenty of opportunities for youth, teens, and tweens to be active for FREE  provided in partnership with Adventure: Fayette County.  Adventure: Fayette County provides more than just activities. This is the first step to a long-term evidence-based drug prevention initiative based on the successful Iceland Model. Studies clearly show that students engaged in meaningful activities have a lower risk of delinquent behavior or addiction.

  • Tuesday at Fayetteville Town park will include line dancing, an opportunity to meet Elsa from Disney’s Frozen, a Bookmobile, Active Southern West Virginia activities, reading, crafts, and a take-home lunch!

Outdoor activities for at risk youth three days a week in Fayette County through August. Physical distancing guidelines are in place, please wear a mask to registration, and please bring your own water.

Please help us to reach families who need healthy supports; grand families, foster families, kids without school sports and summer practices, and all families are welcome!

Adventure: Fayette County is in partnership with Active Southern West Virginia, Coda Mountain Academy, Mountain Surf Paddle Sports, New River Association of Climbers, Fayette County Park, Fayette Prevention Coalition, New River Health Association, Fayette County Libraries and Bookmobile, Fayetteville Arts Coalition, and others.
