Signature Events Updates are coming soon. We are adhering to CDC guidelines and making decisions as these guidelines change.

The health and safety of the people in southern West Virginia has always been our priority at Active Southern West Virginia. This is a challenging time and our hearts go out to families and individuals being affected by this public health crisis. Thank you to everyone who is working on the front lines and all the lines to manage this situation.

We are all experiencing new stress and disrupted schedules. Our routines have changed and our comfort in being with friends and co-workers has been altered. It is extremely important at this time for everyone to follow the recommendations of physical distancing now and in the coming weeks. It is tempting to invite people you care about to meet in person, but I urge everyone to practice safe interactions.

Active SWV staff and volunteer Community Captains are finding creative ways to stay active safely. I am proud to offer you a collection of unique, local resources we have found to be helpful. We are all here for social support, too! We want to see your workouts, sweaty selfies, game ideas, and beautiful trails. Enjoy the April newsletter full of ways to stay active safely and offering social support avenues for you to reduce stress and maintain a healthy immune system.

Stay safe and active!
Melanie Seiler, Executive Director

Physical location programming remains suspended until May 1st per federal guidelines. We will continue to post updates on our social media, on this webpage, and in the May Newsletter. We will continue to offer online physical activity resources and programs.

Active Southern West Virginia Signature Events bring quality fundraising events to southern West Virginia. These fee based races raise funds for the free programs of Active SWV while providing more opportunity for family friendly and beginner racers.
