Get Ready for Spring Kids Run Clubs with Active SWV’s Winter Challenge!

We have a 30 day challenge to keep you motivated!

Active SWV is launching another virtual event to keep you active this winter. From February 19th – March 20th, we challenge YOU to be active every single day. 

The goal of Active SWV’s Winter Challenge is for you to challenge yourself and have fun with it. You can keep track of your minutes of activity every day and enter them into your racer profile when you sign up for the event. Register as an individual or get together a team with friends and family, whatever helps motivate you to be your most active self!

How many minutes of activity should I strive for, and what kinds of activity should I be doing?

Kids should get a recommended 60 minutes of activity a day, 7 days a week, but of course you can challenge yourself to do more if you can! Within your daily 60 minutes, try to incorporate exercise that makes you breathe hard like biking or running fast at least 3 days a week, muscle strengthening activities like pushups or climbing at least three days a week, and bone strengthening activities like jump rope or playing ball at least three days a week.

Challenge your friends and family to participate too! The event is totally free to participate in, which makes it easy for everyone to join.

Race shirt are available to purchase by visiting this link where you can choose between a grey or white option for a unisex long sleeve T, a unisex short sleeve T, or a youth short sleeve T.  Challenge participants can also send in their photo to Active SWV and we’ll send it back in a commemorative race photo frame.
