Active Southern West Virginia provides opportunities for physical activity to improve the health of all people in southern West Virginia. This mission will improve the health of the workforce and expand leadership skills in the small communities of Nicholas, Fayette, Raleigh, Summers, Kanawha, and Boone counties. This work is facilitated through 4 program areas; Community Captains, Kids Run Clubs, Bike/Walk SWV, and Workplace Wellness.
Volunteers, partners, funders, and participants are woven across our region encouraging their friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors to be physically active on a regular schedule. This work is supported by donations, grants, and Active SWV hosted Signature Events. Please visit the many free ways you can increase your physical activity on a weekly basis.
