Active SWV Graduates 5 More Work@Health Sites. Will you be in the next class?

Did you know Active Southern West Virginia has a whole program dedicated to bringing wellness to workplaces? Yep, and at no cost. Active SWV offers training, resources, and technical assistance to help create your workplace wellness program.

Active SWV’s free CDC Work@Health training helps employers prioritize your health.

In fact, workplace wellness is high priority to ever more employers. Last month, Active SWV graduated our second class of Work@Health certified workplaces. Our instructors guide participants through this 6-week course. There, participants learn how to create and maintain a strong workplace wellness program. After graduation, Active SWV remains a resource for your workplace.

In December, Active SWV was also pleased to offer mini-grants, in partnership with West Virginia Division of Health Promotion & Chronic Disease. You can check out how each workplace awardee chose to use their funding here. From a community garden to bicycle desks, you’ll find a little bit of everything.

Does Work@Health sound like something you’d like to see at your workplace?

Later this year, Active SWV will offer a third Work@Health training. Only 10 spaces will be available, so get your name on the list quick! Email our Workplace Wellness Director at [email protected] or give us a call at 304-254-8488 to learn more.

Congratulations to our 2020 Work@Health graduates and mini-grant awardees!
