The second annual Active SWV Bridge Day 5K will be held on October 21, 2017 to allow runners one day a year to race across the New River Gorge Bridge in West Virginia. This year the Bridge Day Commission has approved the increase from 200 racers to 400 racers. Registration will open on March 1st so be sure to save the date!
Spaces will be limited so please mark interested in this Facebook event page to be the first notified when registration opens. Additional notifications will be sent out in press releases, through this website blog, and website calendar.
This event is a fundraiser for area school kids run clubs; Active SWV Kids Run Clubs. Learn more here. And new this year, racers will have the option to make a donation to the United Way of Southern West Virginia‘s Equal Footing Shoe Fund which provides shoes to children in need.
Every great event hinges on the volunteer support. This event is no different in needing volunteers for morning check in, street crossings, and at the finish line. All volunteers will receive a race shirt, finisher medal, and be included in the finish line group photo. If interested, please email: email@example.com with “Volunteer” in the subject line.
Sponsorship opportunities range from $250-$2500 and include multiple levels of exposure. Contact our office to learn more about supporting this event and the Active SWV Kids Run Clubs we fund-raise for: firstname.lastname@example.org with “Sponsor” in the subject line.
