The Mabscott Elementary Run Club, powered by Active SWV, got an early start to their first ever season, allowing for 9 weeks of run club during Spring 2017. The club was led by teachers, Jami Bond and Cali Evans, along with Mabscott Elementary parent, Nikki White.
“When I saw the Active SWV was starting running clubs at local schools I knew that I wanted to help start one at Mabscott Elementary. I love to run (especially outside) and wanted to share that with the kids. Often kids think that running is boring or too hard or some kind of punishment and I wanted to give them the chance to see that it is FUN!” – Nikki White
A small but mighty group, including 2nd-5th grade students, culminated their 9 weeks of training with a color run.
The group will dearly miss the leadership of the five 5th graders, but wish them good luck as they continue on to middle school!
