Maxwell Hill Elementary Run Club, powered by Active SWV, completed its first season during the Spring of 2017. The club is led by Principal Amanda Richmond along with 8 other parent and teacher volunteers. The club meets twice and week and utilized the schools running path.
“We were able to get this great new running path around the playground at the school and we needed to utilize it! I wanted to start a running club, but honestly, I didn’t really know where to start. When I heard about Active Southern West Virginia, I was thrilled that they could give us the tools and training to start the club. Active Southern West Virginia provided us with the format for success and we’re having a great time!” -Principal Amanda Richmond
Maxwell Hill runners managed to still have a great time during their rain soaked Fun Run.
The participants did a great job running their laps and simultaneously dodging the occasional puddle.
