New River Elementary school tested out the first ever recess run club during the Spring of 2017. With such a large student population and a sometimes overcrowded recess space, over 70 kids signed up to go to the access road at the back of the school to learn training runs, running games, and exercises.
Teachers, Britni Gibson and Brentney Avis took the lead of the group with great support from the school Principal, Lee Jones.
