Claude joined Community Captains Charity Wysong and Hilarie Jones at the Walk in the Park program at Fayette Co Park. We took some time to talk with Claude about himself and why he is physically active
I grew up in Oak Hill and graduated from Oak Hill High School. I moved to Cleveland and drove a school bus for 26 years, I really enjoyed the children. I retired and moved back to my hometown.
Wanting to put my shoes on and get outside. I was just being at home and I have some health problems. I wanted to get more active and needed a support system. Being active helps me to be able to maintain my home and yard work.
You have got to start somewhere, just get going, 50 steps are better than nothing. Just give it a try, I’m trying to get active and you should too.
Come out to Fayette County Park every Wednesday at 10am and join Claude for a Walk in the Park. If you have any questions about this or other Active SWV programs check out our events page or email [email protected].
