Active SWV Community Captain of the Month – Monica Martin-Rightenour
will motivate and lead their neighbors and friends in living an active and healthy lifestyle. Wellness is a personal matter, and we hope to make those personal decisions easier for community members by increasing their options to join groups they’re most comfortable with. Coworkers, neighbors, classmates, and family are often those who can provide the support and motivation people need to get moving and stay active.
Active SWV would like to introduce you to our August Community Captain of the Month Monica Martin-Rightenour. Monica leads the Water Aerobics program at Black Knight County Club in Beckley on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10am. Monica started as a participant in a Fayette County Active SWV Water Aerobics program, but was traveling from Raleigh County to the two locations at Holiday Lodge in Oak Hill and Hawks Nest State Park. This motivated her to help create classes in Raleigh County.
While participating in the Fayette County Water Aerobics programs Monica met new husband Herb Martin in class. Monica decided to become a Community Captain to bring her favorite program a little closer to home. We would like to thank Monica for giving her time and her effort to the community by offering this free water aerobics program every Monday and Wednesday at Black Knight Country Club.
