Becoming a Community Captain
If you are interested in making a difference in your community, offering a weekly activity is a great way to help others feel better, get stronger, and stay healthy. The Community Captain chooses the activity and schedule for things such as walking groups, hiking, running, aerobics, biking, basketball, ultimate frisbee, disc golf, and more! See the current schedule here.
The Community Captain orientation only takes a couple hours and you will be equipped with skills in program development, risk management, promotions, and communication. And all with the support of Elizabeth and the staff at Active SWV. Read more about current Community Captains in our success stories.
