Make July your month to try Stand Up Paddle Boarding!
We’ve been wishing and hoping and waiting to put Stand Up Paddle Boarding back on the Active SWV program flyer. Thanks to a great team of Community Captains and a few lucky days of good weather to train, there are five opportunities for you to try SUP in July 2022. For that reason, this entire group of people are the Active SWV Community Captains of the month for July!
Stand Up Paddle Boarding is a beginner friendly paddle sport that anyone can enjoy. Thanks to trained Community Captains, you can register for one of five events in July. Use this link to register, call 304-254-8488, or email [email protected]. Information needed in a call or email includes name, address, phone number to receive a text message, email address, and date of birth. Please only register for one of the programs, because due to equipment constraints space is limited. In addition, please email to let us know if you cannot make a date you have registered to attend, so that someone else who would like to attend can fill that spot.
Volunteers are teaming up to bring this experience to their communities, and programs this month are in Raleigh, Fayette, and Summers counties. As we continue through the summer months, expect to see other opportunities offered, and an expanded number of programs next year.
