The Cameron family is Active at Midland Trail Community Center
If you attend the Active Southern West Virginia Ansted Walking in Harmony group, you will likely encounter one or more members of the Cameron family. This family and their participation is a great example of multi-generational support of our programming.
Beverly and John Cameron attend the walking group faithfully and even bring along their great-grandson (pictured in the stroller) for an indoor walking experience in Ansted, WV. The Camerons are originally from Fayette County (Victor and Ansted), and the location of the walking group plays a big part in how they can stay active close to home.
The Camerons state that they are active because they enjoy gardening and raising cattle, “but became more active when the walking group started.”
This family stays active together in order to stay healthy. They also want to be alive and well for their family for as long as possible.
Beverly and John say that others should join an Active SWV free program for exercise and “the opportunity to visit and socialize with people who genuinely care and support one another.”
