Youth Art Contest
The Youth Art Contest is an opportunity for kids to win free entry into Active SWV’s Bridge Day 5k RUN! There will be four youth winners, with each winner receiving 2 free entries to this event.
Youth Art Contest Rules and Requirements:
Youth under the age of 18 may submit a piece of art for a chance to win two free entries into Active SWV’s Bridge Day 5k RUN taking place on October 19th, 2024.
Interested youth can submit a drawing, painting, collage, or any other piece of original art 5″x7″ or larger. Art pieces should be accompanied by a brief youth artist bio, including name, age, county, what prompt it’s inspired by (see below), and a description of the art piece. Also, please include a picture of yourself being active with your submission.
Please create an art piece inspired by one of the following prompts:
- What does running the Bridge Day 5k RUN look like to you?
- What does a more active West Virginia look like to you?
Art Contest winners will be selected based on the following criteria:
- Responding to one of the prompts provided
- Including the artist bio described above
How to Submit:
Art should be submitted, along with the brief bio about the youth artist and an active photo, in one of the following ways:
- Mail original art piece, youth artist bio, and photo to:

Beckley WV 25801 - Submit a clear picture of your art piece, and enter youth artist bio and photo through this Google form.
Submission Deadline:
Art pieces should be submitted or postmarked by August 31st and winners will be announced as they are received. Four winners will be selected. Each winner will receive two free entries to the race, allowing a friend or family member to join the contest winner in the Bridge Day 5k RUN!
