June Participant of the Month – Debbie Pridemore

Meet Debbie Pridemore, Active SWV’s June Participant of the Month!

Debbie frequently participates in Active SWV’s free Community Captain programs at Hawks Nest State Park, including water aerobics and Tai Chi for Arthritis.  She is married and lives at Turkey Creek, which is close in location to Hawks Nest State Park.

Debbie says she has always been active, for over 40 years. She is active because it is good for her, and helps her continue to be active.

Sometimes when Debbie doesn’t feel like getting up early or attending a program, she will push herself, because she knows she will feel better afterward. Just last week, Debbie attended Tai Chi for Arthritis while experiencing some pain and said, “I felt much better after class.”

Debbie recommends that everyone tries a free Active SWV Community Captain led program, because it is free to be healthy, and it’s great to socialize with others while being active.

Active SWV water aerobics as well as other seasonal and year round options are available and can be found on the website calendar.

If you haven’s already, sign-up for your free membership before attending a program! Fill out the form here, then follow the email prompts to create your membership account.
