Art meets motion
Active SWV is holding an open call for artist designs. We are taking submissions for designs that capture the spirit of Active SWV: movement, friendly, social, local, multi-generational. The design should incorporate the text ‘Active SWV’ in the design.
We will use the winning design on t-shirts and other items and apparel that will go in our online store. Check out the shop here.
Proceeds from all online store sales directly support Active SVW’s free Community Captain, Kids Run Club, and Workplace Wellness programs.
Timeline
The contest will run from January 1, 2026 to March 1, 2026. The design will be selected by Active SWV staff and the winner will be announced the first week of March.
Active SWV will award a one time prize of $350 for the design.
Design Criteria & Contest details
Artists should please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Artist should be based in WV.
- Design should capture the spirit of Active SWV: movement, friendly, social, local, multi-generational.
- Incorporate the text ‘Active SWV’ in the design.
- Submit a 3 color design (you can utilize more colors, but please provide a 3 color option).
- Design should be Ideal for t-shirts, stickers, magnets, coffee cups, and similar items.
- File types: a PNG or JPEG, as well as Ai or SVG files
The fine print – Active SWV will credit the artist in the description of any merchandise we use the design on in our online store, as well as tagging the artist on Facebook and Instagram any time we make a post to specifically promote any merchandise items with the design on it. Artists will be notified the first week of March, and only one design will be chosen. Submitted artwork will not be altered in any way without the express permission of the artist.
