Active SWV would like to introduce you to our February Participants of the Month Mark & Dianna Iobst. Mark and Dianna participate in our Pickleball program on Fridays at 6pm at Brickhouse Cardio in Oak Hill. We caught up with Mark and Dianna between games to ask them a few questions about why they like playing Pickleball, and why its important to them to be physically active.
What motivated you to start playing Pickleball?
We wanted to try something new that included physical activity. We like to try a variety of activities like dancing, Tai Chi, and now Pickleball.
What keeps you coming back?
How much fun it is. There is a feeling of community.
Why is physical activity important to you?
We couldn’t imagine life without physical activity. Why would you not be physically active? As you age physical activity increase agility, balance and your overall health.
What advice would you have for others that want to be physically active and try Pickleball?
Just do it. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. There is no skill level required, because it’s all for fun anyway.
