Walk the Walk 2020 – Participate to Win!

Each month of 2020, Active Southern West Virginia will offer a new challenge focusing on a different area of physical activity.

This January, we’re highlighting all volunteer Community Captain led walk and hike programs.

Does your New Year’s resolution include a step challenge? How about a goal to make exercise a part of your regular routine? Or perhaps your resolution includes meeting new people?

If any of these sound familiar, Active SWV’s Walk the Walk 2020 challenge is for you. And aside from the physical and mental benefits of walking, you’ll also gain the opportunity to win special Active SWV gifts.

The Challenge

Attend as many Active SWV walk/hike programs in the month of January as you can. Check out our calendar of walk and hike programs below. That’s 28 opportunities to walk in just one month!

Participation is Simple

  • Check out our list of January walk/hike programs below.
  • After you attend a program, visit the challenge’s SignUp page here.
  • Select the program you attended from the list of options, and “sign up.”
  • Each time you “sign up” after a walk or hike program, your name is automatically entered into our Active SWV gift raffle. The more you attend, the greater your odds of winning!

Note: Only walks and hikes hosted by Active SWV qualify towards the challenge. Participants must log their activity in SignUp to count.

2 Ways to Win

At the end of the month, Active SWV will hold a raffle, announcing one winner. Your name will be entered once for every program you attend and log within the Sign Up page.

Additionally, we will announce one Walk the Walk Champion. The individual who logs the most Active SWV walks and hikes in the month of January wins!
