Next Saturday, March 6th, the Raleigh County Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting a disc golf tournament to raise funds for construction projects at Lake Stephens. The event, directed by Ryan Shumate, will be an unsanctioned, two round singles tournament on a temporary layout at the Historic Black Knight Golf Course. All proceeds will go towards finishing the permanent disc golf course at Lake Stephens, helping to provide for concrete tee pads, signs, and other materials. This event will be prize only and all registrants will receive a players pack (T-shirt, towel, and a Prodigy BP4 Backpack if registered by Monday, February 22nd).
Following the second round, there will be several field events (CTP, distance, and putting contests) for additional prizes. Details for these will be available via the event Facebook page closer to the event date.
