5 Activities for Kids This Summer

Now that school is out for the summer, kids have more time in their day to fill with fun physical activity. Here are 5 activities perfect for kids this summer!

1. Water Days at Fayette County Park

Adventure Fayette County has been doing ‘water days’ at the Fayette County Park and other locations for years, but this is the first time Active SWV is partnering to spread the word to more kids and families. Join the fun on July 2nd and 18th, spend the evening with the kids trying out stand up paddle boarding and kayaking on the park pond. This program is led by trained volunteers, and all equipment is provided.

Please sign-up for a free membership and pre-register for the event before attending!

2. Run an Active SWV Race for FREE

Active SWV has two race event fundraisers this summer – the Star Spangled Races at Wolf Creek Trails 5k & 15k on July 6th, and the Lake Stephens Finns Up 5k on July 20th. Kids ages 12 and under run for free in the Star Spangled Races 5k, and in a special kids Splash Dash at the Lake Stephens Finns Up event.

Proceeds from both race events go towards supporting free Kids Run Clubs in elementary schools across the region!
