February Community Captain of the Month, Beth Hudspeth

Fayetteville’s Beth Hudspeth is Active SWV Community Captain of the Month

Beth Hudspeth has been leading a running group in Fayetteville, weekly for 8 years!  Recently, she added Pickleball to her list of ways she leads in the organization.

Beth is active for her mind, body, and soul. She started being active in her teen years, when she ran, swam, and played tennis.

Beth became involved with Active SWV to help other people meet and stay active with each other. Also, as a nurse practitioner she sees the benefit of maintaining a healthy weight and heart health through regular physical activity. Beth says, “Coaching people to stay healthy and active is what I like to do.”

Beth stays motivated by staying active three days every week, usually with Active SWV pickleball and run group.  She states that active time with her dog and her friends helps ward off depressive symptoms.  “Health is a priority because physical health will keep your mental health strong,” says Beth.

In short, Beth lives by the motto, “Just move.”
