Active SWV is offering a volunteer competition. Serve volunteer hours in August, September, October, November and December toward winning awards and gifts from Active SWV.
The first weekend in August attracts athletes and families to the New River Gorge to take part in a variety of race events, but to also enjoy the scenic beauty, historic towns and a pleasant mountain climate.
Active Southern West Virginia is looking for community members interested in obtaining a water aerobics instructor certification to teach group water aerobics in their community.

A walking group could provide social support when starting a walking program and could be a great way to get together with your friends, family, and neighbors and chat while getting healthy.
Active SWV Training Teams are a free service providing safe and effective training guidance and the encouragement needed to train up to area events.
We are currently in search of motivated leaders in all the communities that encompass Fayette, Raleigh, Nicholas, and Summers that are willing to lead their friends, family, and neighbors in weekly or biweekly exercise or recreation programs so if you have a niche, let us hear it!
