Active SWV Training Teams are a free service providing safe and effective training guidance and the encouragement needed to train up to area events.
We are currently in search of motivated leaders in all the communities that encompass Fayette, Raleigh, Nicholas, and Summers that are willing to lead their friends, family, and neighbors in weekly or biweekly exercise or recreation programs so if you have a niche, let us hear it!
West Virginia University Extension Service’s Office is hosting their Summer Steps program for the fourth year.
When is the last time you drove through the town of Mt Hope? There are some interesting houses, large old business buildings and some gorgeous old homes.
Active Southern WV, in partnership with the YMCA of Southern West Virginia, is now organizing Training Teams leading up to the Beckley Chamber Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K schedule for the Fall.
Spring could not get here fast enough with the launch of Active Southern WV in 2015. With our mission of giving residents more opportunities to get physically active, we have found many eager partners to contribute their resources to our friends, neighbors, families and coworkers.
