Another Fall Kids Run Club Season Wraps Up
As another Fall Kids Run Club season wraps up, all of us here at Active SWV want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to all the volunteer coaches that make the program possible.

As another Fall Kids Run Club season wraps up, all of us here at Active SWV want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to all the volunteer coaches that make the program possible.

Thanks to some truly dedicated volunteers, Active SWV’s Kids Run Club program has been going strong since 2015. This fall season, many new teachers and parents have stepped up to become Kids Run Club coaches at their schools!

With the summer heat cooling off and the fall weather rolling in, it’s the perfect time for kids to get outside and participate in a Kids Hiking Club.

Fall Kids Run Clubs are almost here, and they are seeking more volunteer Coaches to help out! This is a great opportunity for people of all ages and fitness abilities to come out and volunteer with the community.

No matter what age you are, disguising your fitness activity as something else makes the experience more, well, fun.

Thanks to the WVU Energy Express program, some children will still have the opportunity to be active in a Kids Run Club this summer.

It’s April, which means the Kids Run Club season is starting up again!

The Active SWV Kids Run Clubs are designed as a free, 6-8 week program to help kids of all skill levels develop an enjoyment and understanding of exercise while learning healthy habits for life.

The Active SWV Kids Run Club program seeks to improve the health outcomes of southern West Virginian youth by empowering them with the knowledge, skills, opportunities, and confidence to be physically active throughout their lives.

By focusing on kids’ health, the ActiveSWV Kids Run Club program helps achieve the organization’s overall mission to improve the health and longevity of the workforce in the region by engaging in future workforce development.
