Active Southern West Virginia (ActiveSWV) is pleased to announce India Krawczyk has accepted a full-time position with the non-profit, transitioning from her previous role serving the organization as an AmeriCorp VISTA.

Before Covid-19, Stephanie Hill was attending the REFIT at Central Headstart in Beckley 2-3 days a week for the last year and a half. Active SWV Community Captains have tried new and inventive ways to keep participants engaged during this time by providing resources and virtual programs.
Active SWV’s Virtual Kids Run Club and Regional Fun Run event wrapped up Memorial day weekend after six weeks of activity.

The Move Your Way(sm) challenge provides posters, videos, and online interactive tracker to build a weekly plan of physical activity. This interactive activity tracker gives you a list of all the ways your body can move during the day; walk, dance, jump rope, garden, house chores, and many more.
Last month, Region 1 Partners in Action celebrated the end of an 8 week Metabolic Age Wellness Challenge. Each week, participating employees would have their metabolic age measured.
Active SWV would like to introduce you to our March Participant of the Month, Becky Morris. Becky has been a member of the UKV walking group since it was started in the parking lot at the Gauley Bridge retail location.
Active SWV is swooning over our participants falling in love and getting engaged. This is the story of how they met at Water Aerobics.
