Due to circumstances around Covid-19, Active SWV made the decision to defer the Inaugural New River Gorge Rim to Rim 10K to 2021. In lieu of that event, we are hosting the New River Gorge VIRTUAL 10K with a walk and a run option.
Even though remote work and flexible schedules have been cited as desirable among the working class for decades, very few employers have offered the option until now.
The Rim to Rim Race is a running road race from one side of the New River Gorge to the other. This bucket list event will provide runners with breathtaking views throughout the course in Fayetteville, the adventure sports capital of West Virginia.
On May 15th the 2021 New River Gorge Rim to Rim 10K will be a running road race from one side of the New River Gorge to the other.
A virtual event allows participants to complete the race on their own. You will run or walk the race distance at your own pace and at a time and location of your choosing.

The influence of John Henry’s hard work and perseverance can still be seen in the town of Talcott. Active SWV’s partners at Sprouting Farms are proof of that. Sprouting Farms is a four-season non-profit farm and an education and resource center located in Summers County, WV.
Active SWV would like to introduce you to the May Community Captain of the Month, Vickie Aliff. Vickie is the woman behind the camera posting all the amazing hiking trail videos on the Active SWV Bulletin Board Facebook page.
