The Collins Middle School Run Club, powered by Active SWV, has been meeting to run 3 times a week throughout the winter.

A Complete Streets Policy is aimed at improving safety and connectivity throughout the city.

The goal of the Active Southern West Virginia Pedestrian, Bike, Trail Coordinator; Andrew Davis, is to engage in the development of a connected network of pedestrian infrastructure in Mount Hope, WV whereby both a the town’s population and tourists may exercise, walk, run, hike, and bike in a safe environment.

Active Southern West Virginia, in partnership with The New River Gorge Regional Development Authority, The West Virginia Bureau of Public Health, and the Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce, is announced the new Active SWV Workplace Wellness Pilot Program at the Regional Economic Summit on November 17th.
