The City of Oak Hill was awarded funds through the Transportation Alternatives and Recreational Trails Program grant program to increase the walkability of the community.

Active SWV would like to welcome the new 2020 Community Captains.

The concept of workplace wellness has been around for decades, and while nothing in the name insinuates wellness is only for certain work types, many still associate workplace wellness with white collar jobs.

Congratulations, Ansted, WV for being August’s Community of the Month. Ansted is located along the Midland Trail on Route 60, overlooking the scenic New River Gorge.

Adventure: Fayette County is in partnership with Active Southern West Virginia, Coda Mountain Academy, Mountain Surf Paddle Sports, New River Association of Climbers, Fayette County Park, Fayette Prevention Coalition, New River Health Association, Fayette County Libraries and Bookmobile, Fayetteville Arts Coalition, and others.

Ripe tomatoes, juicy berries and fresh corn are just some of the joys of summertime.

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, so does the city of Mount Hope, West Virginia.
